The Mattel Motor Putt Putt Railroad was released in 1972. To make the train go, you simply had to twist the smoke stack and off it went! I can remember that it didn't work perfectly... That's probably because we set it up on shag carpet which made the track uneven! Oh, that harvest gold shag!!

I remember receiving this for Xmas.

ReplyDeleteI had this train myself. infact I was just telling my fiance about it not long ago. couldnt remember what it was called, but said I wish I still had it so I could pass it on to my son. I sold it to my cousin when I was like 12 to make money for christmas. that tasmanian devil had it destroyed in about 2 weeks. sure do miss that train.
